ED Letter to City about Swimming Pool

This is a two-page letter from the New Mexico Environment Deparment to the City of Lovington explaining why the ED hasn't issued a construction permit for the public swimming pool.

Please note the top of page 2 states the ED's concern about a high pressure hydrogen sulfide gas line on the north end of the pool's proposed location. This high pressure line was brought to the ED's attention when it reviewed the city's construction plans submitted as part of the pool application.

This is a one page summary of the two core samples taken from the swimming pool site east of Chaparral Park.

Please note on the first hole the drill bit broke when it hit metal at 12-13 feet. Makes one wonder: What is buried under there?
